Set amid the West Sussex Countryside and surrounded by fields and open views of the South Downs, the owners of this cottage and stables in the beautiful South Downs National Park wished to demolish the original buildings and replace them with a stunning country estate with tennis court and outdoor swimming pool.

The National Park Authority required strict compliance with their stringent planning regulations and assurance that they would make the most of the spectacular views of the South Downs. The garden design took this into account and also incorporated an orchard, a wild flower meadow and the old stable was transformed into a beautiful woodland garden. The main planting around the house in the final design was of a traditional English garden with lavenders and roses.
